    Twitter Squatting

Unless you have been living under a rock you have heard of Twitter. So what is Twitter? Well in their own words it is “a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time.”

I have been using Twitter for many months and it is kind of fun to follow other users and get followed. I update Twitter several times per day (others update every few minutes). In fact, now that I have a new iPhone I can update while on the move.

So why am I blogging about Twitter? Well in a word “TwitterSquatting” or Brandjacking, usernamesquatting, or whatever you call it is a problem and is getting worse every day.

After some research I found that 93% of the top 100 brands we all know; Burger King, Coke, GMC etc. have either registered their Twitter name or worse someone else has. What can someone do to your reputation if they register an account with Twitter and act like they are you?

The only way YOU can protect yourself is to go to Twitter right now and register your name.

It is projected that Twitter is growing by more than 200,000 new users EACH WEEK! Mark my words, Twitter will be purchased within the next 4-6 months by Google, MSN or Yahoo.

      Hi JR,

Home Business Success Academy called me today to get me to sign up for their $3,000 program. They said you were part of their program and that you were in World Ventures before. What can you tell me about them? Is it worth it? I dont want to do telemarketing.
      Thanks – Carla Beene
